Rob Hazelwood, the Junior challenger looking to take on the world
The Rocket, Rob Hazelwood, a young English skier from middle England is looking to show the world what he is all about.
The young lad fresh from an exciting Masters event, where he took home the silver medal in slalom dreams big when talking about his 3 event water-ski challenges.
“I’ve always dreamed of competing against the best in the world. I’m very fortunate to have a great facility in Lincoln to be able to train to the best of my ability and be around other brilliant skiers helps also.”
Rob was having a steller year last year until a nasty crash at the Junior euros finished his season. A right hip dislocation putting paid to his 2015. Up to that point Rob was skiing sensationally. Jumping mid 50m’s, running 38 off(11.25m) and tricking in the upper 8,000 point range. This could have derailed many peoples dreams of competing at a high level but not Rob.
Once the doctors gave him the all clear, Rob was hard at it getting himself in the best shape possible to be able to compete at this years US Masters. Having received an invite by placing in the top 5 juniors in the world. His 2nd place in slalom and 3rd place in Overall showing his hunger and will to get back on the podium.
We are excited to see the next chapter in Robs flourishing career and are proud to have him a part of the Stokes Team. Keep your eyes peeled for this all rounder coming out of the UK.
